We would like to introduce the peer-reviewed E-journal ‚Afrikanistik-Aegyptologie-Online’ to you. For 10 years the Journal appeared under the name ‚Afrikantistik-Online’. With the support of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) the Journal could expand by a section of Egyptology and Archaeology of Sudan and Nubia.
AAeO is promoted by the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Research of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia within the framework of DiPP (Digital Peer Publishing) and is hosted and technically supervised by the Academic Library Center HBZ (Hochschulbibliothekszentrum NRW).
The open-access allows to participate worldwide in current scientific studies, even in areas where printed publications are not available or are not easily accessible. It enables Authors to complement their contributions with large-scale images as well as audio and video files.
The Journal supplies a commentary function, which makes immediate communication possible. Comments will also be peer-reviewed and subsequently released by the editors. Therefore a text-forum is planned for discussing problems in grammar, lexicon and further questions. We are open to comments and additional suggestions.
We ask you to publish articles, monographs and preliminary reports, which will be quickly made available online as soon as they are cleared by the reviewers.
With best regards
